Plantronics Wireless Office Headset Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I ordered and received this headset from Amazon during the week of August 14th, and have been using it constantly since then. I have not experienced the problem with broken earpieces that others have been harping about, and my usage has been 3-8 hours a day, every day (minus a week of vacation in September).
I feel paranoid, though, and want to order extra earpieces from Plantronics as they do *look* flimsy.
I do have several gripes; one is that I get echo in the earpiece if I turn up the gain on the microphone too high, but I do not know if this is a problem with the headset, or my phone (Cisco 7960). Another nitpick would be to have some way to put the phone on/off hook w/o using the HL10--it's such an ugly hack...
All in all, the product performs perfectly as advertised, crystal clear communication, the earpiece is comfortable if you don't wear glasses (sometimes I don't wear my contacts and the earpiece can become uncomfortable with glasses on; the headband should rectify this, but I don't like headbands). This is a solid piece of kit that I would definitely recommend and buy again should the need arise.
PS. Why did Amazon raise the price on this lovely little item? ($165 -> $199) Regardless, this is still a great value.

Plantronics CS55/HL10 Wireless Headset Bundle Review

(More customer reviews)I am extremely happy with both the sound quality and the range from base on this set. The freedom of not being wired to the phone & headset base it great. My only complaint is that the "over the ear" pieces are very hard & uncomfortable -- there are several sizes but after a couple of hours, all earpieces are terribly uncomfortable (and I am someone that has worn over the ear headsets for 10+ years). I finally switched to the "over the head" attachment, which has a nice, padded earpiece and it solved the problem. I usually don't like headbands but this one is very lightweight & doesn't mess up my hair. I would have given this 5 stars if they had figured out how to make a comfortable earpiece.

Plantronics CS-55 Dect 6.0 Digital Wireless Office Headset Review

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased this item and have used it for about a week so far. I'm very impressed with the range and this headset's ability to shield itself from interference. There simply is no "buzzing" while downloading email to my BlackBerry while on the phone with this thing. I'm sure I'll be upgrading my PBX telephone system soon to suit this headset better; I refuse to use the handset lifter, since that seems so old-school for a headset so technologically superior than any other wireless headset offering on the market. It's important to note that a headset band, three different sizes of over-the-ear-loops and about four ear pads are included with this package.
The only bad thing about it, I can't seem to get the sound amplified as I like it loud. I think it was too much loud music played from my iPod that blew out my hearing, so the sound level should be perfectly accommodating to other folks.
In short, you will not be disappointed by the Plantronics CS55.

Plantronics CS351N Supra Plus Wireless Headset Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Quality and Use: 3 people in our office have been using these Plantronics headsets for about 4 years now and they have worked great. We have a service and repair business with very busy phones so we are constantly on the telephone taking orders and talking to customers. We can walk about 300 feet away from the base without any problem including outside the office. You may be able to go farther or be limited to shorter distances but I believe it would depend on the construction of your building. There are several buttons on the headset and one I find very useful which is a MUTE button. I can talk privately for a moment if needed without the caller ever knowing and there is no need to put them on hold. The other buttons are for volume and answering the call. One more great feature to point out is that you can move about the office to get files, make copies or faxes and even work from another desk without putting someone on hold.
As far as battery life goes, when left to charge overnight the unit will last all day with busy phones without any need a recharge. We have never replaced the batteries in the units so they seem to hold up well over time. I did purchase a replacement for a unit that ended up cracked where the arm that goes around your head connects to the earpiece but I think 4 years of use is acceptable for the cost.
Ergonomics: I was getting a sore neck and shoulder from holding a standard phone with my chin and shoulder before trying one of these but the pain went away after a month or so of strictly using the headset. If you suffer from this kind of pain I think this can really help.
