Altec Lansing MHP136 Muzx Series In Ear Headphone with wood finish Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Wish I shopped around a bit more for these. But since I was earlier shopping Shure and Klipsch earbuds, $30 didn't seem too bad, and did I mention they're wood?
I don't know if the wood makes any difference, but I'm happy with their sound and looks.
A few reviewers mention a lack of treble and I have a theory. The cheapy ear buds that come with Ipods are OVERLY trebly. And compared to those, YES these don't have as much treble. But IMO thats a good thing. Ipod earbuds fatigue my ears with their harsh sound. I can finally listen to my Ipod for hours with these.
Same theory goes with the bass. Cheap earbuds lack any bass, so these with a little positioning, you can get very good bass response without becoming muddy. But at first listen it may SEEM like too much bass.
Anyways, I'm sure there are a lot better earbuds out there, but for $15 - $20 these make a fine upgrade from the cheapys.

Altec Lansing UHP326 BackBeat Titanium noise-isolating earphones Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have a set of UHP336s and I'll have to say while these 226s sound amazing and better than 336 they have a major flaw!
What makes them flawed:
Their cloth-braided cords - With the lack of over the ear malleability in the cords. This is a feature of the 336 model and the plastic wrapped cords on the 336 seem to transmit less "rubbing" noise to the ear when the user is moving around. The amount of noise transferred through the cords on the 326 compared to other models is just excessive.
Sound production:
The quality of sound that comes through these ear buds is just amazingly good. IF you can stand to sit still and not move at all you will get an unbelievable experience with the music you play. Only downfall of this is that if you download low quality music you will be able to tell how bad anything less than 192K bit rate really is.....
All in all the sound is amazing but the interference is just ridiculous, even when compared to like style headphones. It's nearly off-putting to even use the set with the level of this problem.

Altec Lansing MHP126 Muzx Series In Ear Headphone with Black and Blue Crystal Flower Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought these at a discount store for $5 so I wasn't on track with audiophiles ho'll spend a day or more's pay on earbuds. That being the case I do like to cancel out most people and noise when I listen to music. I got the iWave platinum earbuds at a temporary replacment to my Koss "the plug" when they broke. Being a bit lazy I just stuck it out and never order a new pair (Big Mistake because those buds are the best on the market in my opinion and only $15 on the Koss website with a lifetime replacement warranty (no matter how they broke) for $6 shipping!)
Anyway those iWave's stink and when I ran across these for $5 I said why not. They arent' as good at the Koss Plug but they will do.
And the girly accoutrements on the earbud itself works for me, cuz I'm a girl :).
Bottom Line, Koss "the Plug" is far superior, but if you can get them for a few bucks, it's perfert for a primary and great as a back up.

Altec Lansing AHP-712 Headphones Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Sorry about your first faulty headset...but that happens. These are, by far, the best headphones in the price range, and have a pretty good sound quality (20hz-20khz). They come with a nifty carrying bag and an adapter for airplanes (so you don't have to pay the annoying $5 charge). What's more, the MSRP price of $149 has been nearly reduced in half to $79 at places like Buy.com and the king-of-all-stores Costco. The Altec website is not much help, though. So if you want a real review, go to http://www.thetechlounge.com/review.php?directory=altec_lansing_ahp712&page=1.
And, by the way, if money is absolutly no object, try the Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic. They are the best--period. Happy trails.

Improve the audio performance of your portable MP3 or CD player with these Altec Lansing headphones, which are ideal for frequent travelers and anyone else who listens in a noisy environment. The phones employ a technology called Active Noise Reduction, which "listens" to ambient sounds and filters them out by creating a 180-degree out-of-phase sound wave. So whether you're trying to overcome the engine hum of buses, subways, or planes or merely the voice of the couple next to you, the AHP-712 headphones are the perfect complement. Fortunately for listeners, the noise-blocking circuitry lets you focus on the music itself, which sounds great thanks to the high-performance 40 mm neodymium drivers. The bass explodes through the ear cups while the high and mid ranges sound rich and clear.
The phones fold and store compactly in the included carrying bag, which also offers an accessory pouch for extra cables and adapters. Additional features include a handy multi-function controller, a deluxe padded headband with comfortable leatherette ear pads, two choices of cable lengths, and airline and 1/4-inch adapters for additional listening options.
What's in the Box AHP-712 headphones, carrying bag, controller, two cables, two-prong airline adapter, 1/4-inch adapter, user's manual.
