Sennheiser HD 202 Dynamic Headphones Review

Sennheiser HD 202 Dynamic Headphones
Average Reviews:

I do not like small earphones that go into the ear. After a very short time I find them very uncomfortable. I also hate anything pressing on my head.
I was looking for a set of over the ear phones which were light weight, comfortable, had excellent sound fidelity, a longish cord so I can be comfortably away from my stereo, and effectively blocked outside sounds. My primary motivation for buying these phones was so that I could listen to opera and really hear the phrases. I wanted all this for under $30.00
These head phones delivered. As soon as they arrived, I tested them on a variety of music types at a variety of volumes. The phones are very comfortable and except for a bit of warming of my ears, which was rather pleasant, I barely noticed them. The cushion on the crosspiece is thick enough so that you don't really feel it.
Sound fidelity is excellent. I was actually able to hear parts of music and instruments that I had never noticed before. This was especially true with classical, opera and jazz. The balance between bass and treble was very good, although if you really like loud thumping base, you may be a bit dissappointed.
I was not able to get the volume up loud enough to notice any distortion before it was too much for me, so I can't really say that there will be no distortion if you like really loud music.
If you are looking for headphones that are a good bargain for the money and have a limited budget, these are it.

The research and development specialists converted their university institute, which had been moved during the war to the small village of Wennebostel, into what became known as 'Labor W', and it was there that they began to build measuring instruments. Turtle Beach TBS-2052 Ear Force Z2 Professional Grade PC Headset (Black) Review

I have been debating buying these over many other headsets. As soon as I had the money for these, I bought them. At the time, I had the Astro A40 system from earlier this year (2010) I was less than pleased with the A40 headset, considering all the hype and false claims. So I decided to find something that is "The Best". Well, compared to the A40's, these are the best. I hooked these up to my mixamp and played some MW2, Burnout Paradise, and L4D2. All I can say is wow! The directionality is truly incredible. The reason behind that is the 50mm drivers in it, as well as the Dolby Headphone technology in the MixAmp. I have played for hours upon hours, at once, and have felt zero pain, discomfort, or fatigue. The around ear design is great... especially with the meshy ear pads. I gave it 3 stars for usability because it uses the dual 3.5 mm jacks (mic and stereo) So it can not be used with consoles with out some kind of adapter or a MixAmp. Five stars for ease of use because it is pretty much plug and play. Four stars for sound stage because, it is good, but not the greatest. I can easily get better sound stage from the Sennheiser HD555 headphones (my next purchase). But don't get me wrong... this headset is well worth your money. Buy this if you are using an X-Fi sound card with CMSS-3D or a Dolby Headphone certified decoder for your console. Other wise, you are better off buying the Ax Pros (that sound horrible, and easily break(I used to own those as well)) Oh... and like the other reviews on the web have said, the mic is amazing. It is crystal clear. I will be using it for my blog talk radio in the future. Bottom line... Buy these.

Skullcandy Snoop Dogg Signature Skullcrusher Headphone (Black) Review

Skullcandy Snoop Dogg Signature Skullcrusher Headphone (Black)

Sound quality has always been a matter of taste. But if you're like me and love earth-shaking bass, these headphone bring it. The bass level can be adjusted to your desired taste. Also, the headphones only use one "AA" battery which is installed in an inline unit (not in the headphones itself). I just wish it wasn't the foldable type (which always seems to make the headphones flimsy). But otherwise...Snoop Dogg, you know just what I like.

Skullcandy G.I. Stereo Headphones S6GICZ-003 (Black) Review

So i ordered these headphones after my first set of headphones broke. i was a little unsure because the ratings on the other Skullcandy headphones were pretty bad. They took about five days to get to my house and I LOVE THEM. The sound is great, and the entire set is made very well. The only problem is that the part that goes over your ear feels a bit hollow because the pads and the circle with the Skullcandy logo is removable, so if you drop it at a weird angle there is a chance that the outside could crack. They come with a stereo adapter, a nice carrying bag, and there is a bottle opener concealed in a sipper pocket on the headband. The headband is great and fits perfectly due to its flexibility, and you can adjust the sides. The headphones can swivel and flip and they only have one cord so it doesn't get all tangled up. Overall these are great headphones with good sound and i would recommend buying them, especially at this low price!

I bought these at a discount store for $5 so I wasn't on track with audiophiles ho'll spend a day or more's pay on earbuds. That being the case I do like to cancel out most people and noise when I listen to music. I got the iWave platinum earbuds at a temporary replacment to my Koss "the plug" when they broke. Being a bit lazy I just stuck it out and never order a new pair (Big Mistake because those buds are the best on the market in my opinion and only $15 on the Koss website with a lifetime replacement warranty (no matter how they broke) for $6 shipping!)
Anyway those iWave's stink and when I ran across these for $5 I said why not. They arent' as good at the Koss Plug but they will do.
And the girly accoutrements on the earbud itself works for me, cuz I'm a girl :).
Bottom Line, Koss "the Plug" is far superior, but if you can get them for a few bucks, it's perfert for a primary and great as a back up.

I love these headphones. They are very snug and good for simple music listening. There is no volume adjustment, so you would have to adjust the volume from your mp3 player or computer speakers instead. These headphones definitely take away all the extra sound around you.

Dynex DX-HP550 - Headphones ( ear-cup ) Review

Dynex DX-HP550 - Headphones ( ear-cup )
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased these at Best Buy for about $40 and assumed I was getting a decent quality pair of headphones - I wasn't expecting high-end sound quality. What I have is a pair of full size headphone that sound worse than the earbuds that came with my MP3 player. The base response is very poor which makes, say, a piano concerto sound tinkly. Not only that but it sounds like the high end is distorted and instead of CD quality it sounds like an FM radio.
I even tried them on my comuputer speaker's headphone jack and still found the results disappointing. I'm not an audiophile but I could readily tell that these headphones aren't very good.
I don't recommend them.

PulseWave 2 Premium PC Gaming Headset Review

PulseWave 2 Premium PC Gaming Headset
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
So I've owned and still own a lot of gaming headsets for the pc, as I am a heavy pc gamer. FPS, RTS, mmorpg, you name it. Also the robust listener in music and I watch my share of movies through netflix on my pc.
I look for quality in a headset. This, I mean a headset that can do fairly well in all aspects. I don't want a headset that is pure bass, or a headset with a faulty component (I've had too many shares of faulty microphones, speakers, cables, usb, driver issues, etc.)
Now, I am giving my feedback on this headset based on currently owning a logitech g35, steelseries siberia v2 with usb sound card, creative fatality hs1000, plantronics 367, and razer carcharias.
Obviously, teknmotion isn't as well know as the brands above. But it isn't a non-existent company. It has its fair share of consumers, and the pulsewave is a pretty popular headset. The version 2 is just a revised version, but nothing major. I'm not sure what they revised to begin with, but checking out reviews of version 1, I can't find a difference.
So first of all, people with windows 7, 64 bit, this works perfectly. no driver issues. put in the cd, put in the headset, and your good to go.
this part is where people criticize headsets quite often. This headset is definitely not flimsy whatsoever. The mic is detachable, but the boom is not super thin, and the area around where the ports plug in are reinforced with a thicker covering, so no need to be scared of removing and attaching the mic often. (personally, I just keep it on, and swing it up when not in use)
comfort: i'm gonna say that the comfort is good, not the best, but definitely doesn't kill your ears like some headsets i've worn. I've worn for 6 hours straight. And although my ears did get somewhat tender, It's not the *painful* when you wear it kind of tender. I only realized it when I actually removed the headset. The top of my head had NO NO NO discomfort whatsoever, so don't worry about the headband.
Sound: Sound is great, let me just say that. I'm not talking in an audiophiles perspective. But for the gamer, or the casual music listener, and for watching movies. Wow, sound is great. Loud, Clear, no static on highs, bass is AMAZING!! and also you can set levels for the headset to vibrate if you'd like (during bass-y moments)- About the flashing lights, yes, you can set it to flash lights. However, it's not super disco flashy, it's adequate. OR you can just turn off the lights altogether, no biggy (there is a switch on the in-line controller)
-the material of the ear cups are that of a synthetic leather, but they appear to be quite durable, and comfortable. Those of you worrying about sweat in ears. I didn't experience any sweat after 6 hours, so don't worry about that.
-Mic is very very responsive. I had to actually lower my skype mic volume to 30% because I was loud. No static heard from the other party from vent, skype, in-game from windows live gaming. Very adjustable, also.
-cable is a little over 6 feet which is more than adequate for me, and hopefully for any pc users, unless you have a pc connected to a huge hdtv, then 6 feet may not be long enough.
All in all, for 52 bucks (amazon has the cheapest price), this is a VERY good buy. I would give it a 9/10. for an overall headset, and 10/10 for its price.
Personally, I see no flaws. It's not the greatest or best headset, but in terms of actual flaws, I see none at all. If you don't have at least 100 bucks to spend on a headset, I'd recommend getting these. If you have a hundred dollars, I recommend the logitech g35 or the steelseries siberia v2.
if you have 150, I recommend the seinheisser gaming headset (150 on amazon only)

Skullcandy Lowrider Headphones S5LWCZ-032 (Black) Review

Skullcandy Lowrider Headphones S5LWCZ-032 (Black)
Average Reviews:

Most of us who use these types of headphones don't pay attention to how far we stretch the band when placing it over our head. It's really quite a lot of stress and stretch. If you pay attention then you won't have a problem.
You don't have to baby these headphones. The only weak point is the middle of the headband, which is connected by a metal screw bar.
If you pay attention to how you put them on (ie: adjust the side lengths and then slide them over your head); you'll be fine. Sound quality is good all around. Better than the earbuds you get w/ your Ipod.
Take care of this, don't wrap your cords too taunt, or fast and vigorously; this pulls the cords loose.
These are marketed as Sports Headphones on SkullCandy's website. I would say they're good for walking and maybe running. They're snug but not snug enough to stay on when bouncing, jumping, boarding etc. The best upside is that you get no "tapping" noise when touching or bumping the wires.
Pros:
- good sound
- comfortable
- Adjustable
- folds up and stores easily
- good for walking
- No wire noise
Cons:
- Not really Sports Headphones
- No Noise Reduction! (a tiny bit BETTER than regular Ipod earbuds)
only an issue when in a car or airplane
NOT an issue while walking or on the train
(tested only on BART in CA Bay Area)
- NOT for high bass listeners or hardcore music, heavy metal, Rap etc.
- A little awkward to wrap wires around the folded headphones when storing
- THE BIG ONE: head band is weaker than most NON-Foldable headphones; but still durable, provided care (what did you expect for foldys?)
bottom line: its delicate BUT NOT FRAGILE!
PS I bought the green/black from OneCall for $35. I would still trust all sellers of SkullCandy Lowriders
PSS
OH YEAH and wear these backwards ie(Right cup on Left ear). That way you can swivel the cup into your ear (much better isolation of sound). IDK why they overlooked this.

When I was considering buying these headphones, I was reading a lot of reviews on them that made me not want to buy them. People were saying they were the crappiest headphones ever & that they're a waste of money. Truthfully, these people are just plain wrong. They're expecting way too much out of $50 headphones. I think that these are pretty beast for $50 headphones. They sound amazing & the bass is awesome as well but not so overpowering that it distorts the sound. They also do an awesome job of blocking out surrounding noises. I know there are a lot of people who say these hurt your ears after wearing them for too long, don't worry about that too much. Just a simple readjustment will stop that from happening. The only thing that's a bad thing is that they do leak some sound. But that's not that big of a deal for me so to me, this product is flawless. Another thing: everyone is saying that these are made out of some cheap crappy material that breaks easily. Once again, wrong. If you don't yank them off your head & actually make an effort to take care of them, they should last a while. & even if they do break, Skullcandy will either replace it at no charge or replace it for 50% depending on what happened. So if you're not planning on buying these because of all those reviews that say this product sucks, you should just go ahead and buy them. You'd be surprised at how amazing they are & how all those reviews were just a bunch of bs. These headphones are just so amazing. My very first pair & I couldn't ask for anything better for such a cheap price. Oh yeah, they're also stylish as well (;
