Nothin' but love for the Skullcandy Lowriders; I've had only one other pair before them and they were lowriders too. They lasted me a good two years before giving up the ghost and sending me off to get another pair. This pair that I bought are just as good as the last and they look so cool. I tell people about them, the booming sounds quality, the comfort, and the collapsable goodness. I hope this pair lasts just as long as the last.

Sony PIIQ Premium Over-the-Ear Headphones (MDR-PQ1) - Pink Review

My wife and I run a DJ business, and she's become a full party DJ in her own right, so I wanted a little something for her... and saw these. I figured they wouldn't be good enough to use for a real event, but they'd be great to have in her office. While these aren't $200 headphones, they're definitely good enough to DJ a party! They're light, comfortable, and have surprisingly good bass clarity. I got stuck at the office without my pro headphones and grabbed hers (these) to mix a set for a client appreciation day and was able to hear everything I needed to they were comfortable for the whole 3 hours.
They do not collapse or twist, just pivot about 15-degrees vertically, so it takes some adjustment if you're used to that functionality on another set of DJ headphones. The headband-length adjustment is SUPER stable - I wish mine stayed set like these!
Because the cord is disconnectable you could use a different one if you don't like the look of the flat pink one but it works fine. It has a 90-degree connector on the far end (good) but doesn't come with a 1/4" adaptor (bad) so you'll have to pick one up on your own ($2 on a popular auction site).

these
would probably work for 5 to 6 yr old children of average size.
had to send them back. My granddaughter is 8yrs old and they
were too small.

Sized for children over 8 years of age --- Most headphones don't fit children comfortably. The MDR-222KD headphones were designed with a child's head in mind. This allows the child to comfortably wear the headphones without strain that full sized headphones might cause as well as fit that eliminates the need to constantly adjust the headphones. Low volume --- By increasing the impedance on the headphones we have taken into account the sensitive nature of childrens ears to try to eliminate volume issues that full sized earphones might cause. Lightweight --- By sizing these headphones correctly your child can use these headphones on long trips very comfortably.
