HP GW470AA#ABA Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones Review

I bought these as a Christmas present (for myself) directly from HP. At the time they were listed for $160.00 and I found I could get them from HP for $100.00. I liked the bluetooth, it setup just fine with my Vista laptop (also an HP) and the sound was fine. The noise canceling didn't really work, all I got was a high-pitched squeal in the right ear, but I'm in a quiet office, so I didn't worry about it.
I had the same problem that others have had, the headband breaks. I have a pretty normal to small head (I wear a 6 and 1/4 fitted baseball hat) and the headband busted in two.
I sent them back, and HP never bothered to send me a replacement. When I called, they had already refunded my money. They offered me a 25% discount on any other pair of headphones, but I was so put off by the whole experience, I told them "no thanks".
If HP can design a better head band, they'll have something to offer, but as for now, these headphones are not worth the time and money.
And, yes, working with HP's outsourced customer service is not fun. They don't understand the issues with the product and are not easy to work with. I hope someone from HP reads this and moves their call center to a nice college town where they can give students that speak English and have people skills a nice place to work. As it is, I won't buy anything from HP for awhile.

Skullcandy S2INBI-FZ Ink'd Ear Buds with Inline Microphone (Black) Review

I have owned many pairs of skullcandy headphones, and the Ink'd headphones out of all of them are indeed my favorite. So when ordering, I figured that these would be the same quality. When I received them, I immediately plugged them into my HTC Hero (sprint) and played a couple of songs. The music quality is superior, like usual with Ink'd headphones. There is great bass response, clear treble, and overall the quality of music sounds full and not distorted. The ear buds come with three different sizes of soft rubber tips to fit your ear. Overall the fit of the headphone is great and it does a great job of canceling out most of the noise around you, seeing as these are NOT noise canceling headphones.
However, my only problem with these headphones is the mic. The mic is located on one of the ear bud wires before they connect together, so when in your ear, the microphone hangs around by your adam's apple. After seeing where the microphone was, I thought that there would be no problem picking up my voice, however there seems to be a lack of sensitivity in the microphone. People on the other end of my phone had a hard time hearing me unless the microphone was literally right in front of my face, but when it was there they said that my voice was clear, and they also sounded clear on the other end. There is also a single button on the microphone piece that either plays/pauses the music, or answers/mutes the phone call. If you want to hang up the call you have to manually do so on the phone.
So these are great headphones that should be expected with the skullcandy name, but the microphone is mediocre at best.
