(More customer reviews)When reviewing a product like this, I think it's important to know the reviewers age - I'm in my 50s - I'm not listening to Kenye West and Jay-Z through these. I'm most likely listening to classical music, Sinatra, or folk-rock in the Dylan/Taylor range. And some pop.
Nor am I blasting them. Years playing keyboard in a band has already taken a minor toll. I keep the volume reasonable.
That said, these are good little earbuds. The midrange is clear and balanced, the bass is definitely there, and they fit as well as a set of earbuds will fit for 20-30 bucks. Their sound blocking is not as good as the pair of Shures that I owned, but then again, they are about 25% of the price.
Overall, these entry level Denons provide good sound quality for listening to your iPod as you travel, run, or just at home. You'd have to spend a lot more to get a signifiant upgrade in sound quality. As I said, proper fit at this price range is a hit and miss affair, but these seem pretty average.
Overall - good deal; I'm pleased!
