(More customer reviews)These headphones, while a little heavier than your average headphones, are wonderful headphones! When you're playing a video game on your pc, they work exactly as a system of 5.1 speakers should work. You can sit there and hear your enemies running in circles around you very clearly.
In addition to game play, I have separately purchased a converter that changes the 3 male plugs into 1 male plug so that I can use them to listen to my laptop (as it does not have a sound card to handle 5.1 sound) and my Ipod. Sound quality for music is fantastic! Bass quality is outrageously good as well and notes in the upper registers come in super clear.
I use these things for gaming and then also to listen to pop/hip-hop/rock/jazz/classical and you can easily hear every instrument clearly and fully. The around ear design is very comfortable for extended periods of use and also manages to block out a little bit of ambient noise.
Also mine are about 4 years old and still going strong! Do not worry about a weak connection with the cord to the headphones. I have yanked on it accidentally many a time with no problems.
I absolutely suggest buying these headphones. The price is a steal for the quality! Enjoy these things!!
